You
must use a radio if you are at the Gator Bayou or Shark
Viewing.
ALWAYS HOOK
ON YOUR WAIST - NEVER LEAVE UNATTENDED.
The radio
costs $550 to replace.
Make sure the
radio is turned on and set to Channel 2 (dial at top of radio).
To use the radio:
Press the
button on the left side and say, "(Your Location) to 205."
205 is the code for the person in charge of volunteers for a particular
day.
Release
the button. When 205 answers, say, "Go to 4." Channels
4 is for speaking directly with the other person without the rest
of the radios hearing the conversation.
Press the
button to talk; release the button to listen.
When the
conversation is over, turn back to Channel 2.
When your
shift is over, hand the radio to the next volunteer or employee
or to 205 at the end of the day. Never leave it at the exhibit.
It is not necessary
to learn all the radio codes, however please remember the most common
ones listed on the left side of the screen.
